On Instagram on Fridays, I’ve been recommending books. My goal is to pick books that I would happily sit down and reread again if I had the time.1 It’s been really fun to browse my shelves and pick a volume.
We host Thanksgiving2 but this year the boys are out of school for the entire week so we escaped to camp and hike for a few days. I’ve always joked that one day I’ll retire from ministry and become a park ranger.3

The previous three items are probably the closest I will come to creating a gift guide. Although, creating a gift guide does sound like fun. That probably won’t top my to-do list.
I recently listened to a few people talk about what it meant to speak in their native language. I hope I never forget it.
