After starting my new job in December, I set up a new Substack posting schedule with four posts a month. But I knew that, occasionally, the calendar would leave me with an extra spot. Today is that extra Sunday and whenever there is an extra Sunday, as long as I have time, I hope to send a little something.1
On Tuesday, I told my apprenticeship supervisor that I was tired, all the time, in every way. A friend gently pointed out Monday evening that I have four kids and a job and I’m in school which did add some perspective.2 But it felt deeper than that. Even my spirit seemed exhausted. There’s probably a way to diagnosis this (is it life? Is it spiritual warfare? Is it a health issue?) but I’m skipping that for now.
