“Even in a marriage, this attitude is lust. And whether with porn or marriage, lust will not satisfy. All selfishness in sex will lead us to become shriveled and misshapen versions of ourselves, not someone that looks like Christ. “

<———That part!!! Thanks for speaking truth.

Thanks for sharing the part that stood out to you, Cathy! I think we often want to shortcut this and hold up marriage as the solution and it just won't work.

Amen sister.

I love it when people are courageous enough to deal with topics that the majority seem to strongly resist facing.

I also love it when people point out all of the examples of bad behavior / philosophies they are aware of, on the subject they are addressing, alongside all of the examples of good behavior / philosophies on that subject.

Omigosh, so good, liked and restacked! Some thoughts/questions:

· In the first sentence under your photo, "Every single person" means each and every person, not just singles, right? I'm assuming you meant the former, not the latter, but just clarifying...

· I know you can't share your professor's lecture, but any chance she's on YouTube or elsewhere on the interwebs with similar content? Can you share her name so I can do some digging?

· I am ALL for humor in the church because, honestly, some of us could probably use a little more levity in how we view ourselves in light of an omnipotent God. But it's useless to say "It was just a joke" (which, I've admittedly said in my younger days) to imply that you weren't communicating a point, because humor is pointed. That's why satire and political cartoons exist and why The Daily Show won 26 Emmys.

· Lastly, he not only plagiarized sermons, but he plagiarized HIS APOLOGY? That's just sad.

So glad you liked it!

Yes, I do mean “each and every,” and not just people who are single. That’s a great clarification.

My professor was Erin Dufault-Hunter. She was fabulous!

And yes to your points about humor!

Thanks for commenting and sharing!
