Love this, Lisa—great tips! I also find myself geared toward hospitality, and this season of major house renovations + a newborn has been hard. Looking forward to having people in our home again soon though. :)

Lisa I LOVE this. I am a recovering overachiever when it comes to hosting and I am very much trying to embrace everything you’ve listed here, for all of the reasons you listed here ❤️

We love to host as well!! I think it's so important that others see our real lives when they come over - so like you said - we tidy but don't go crazy. And we share our home and hearts authentically

This post was a timely encouragement, thank you

Wow thanks so much for sharing this, it came at a great time! We're trying to figure out how to practice hospitality in a tiny house, and the limitations that brings. But I do love having people over and as you say it's amazing to realise how much an invitation can mean to some people.

Yeah this is great. I’m not naturally gifted towards hospitality and am extra intimidated because I am in another culture, a communal culture where houses are functional, not beautiful, and people don’t interact as two family units meeting in a home but as the whole community gathering. It’s just different in a communal rather than individualistic culture. I’m still figuring what hospitable means here.

I love this so so much. I am hosting a bible study this summer with some ladies from my church. It’s easy to think it has to be perfect, but the reality is, people just like to be invited and need someone who is willing to open up their front door and love on them.
